Ant M Lobo (b. 1996) is a NC based Queer artist, curator, and writer. Their work focuses on Queer history and narratives, gender and sexuality, archives, and ecology. With these themes Ant creates vignettes into constructed Queer worlds of past, present, and future; using their research on Queer Art and Black Mountain College as the backbone to their practice. Ant’s writings on queerness, interactions with nature, and Black Mountain College have appeared globally. Ant was most recently the guest editor of the Journal of Black Mountain College Studies: Vol 14, Queer Life At BMC; the first publication to be entirely focused on Queerness at Black Mountain College. Ant lives in Raleigh, is a gardener, collector, and studied analog processes in photography at Appalachian State University.
